Lautaro Martinez was subbed off in Inter’s last two games, but according to Gazzetta, the Nerazzurri captain still has full trust from the club and the coach.
Inter captain Lautaro Martinez was subbed during the last two matches against Milan and Atletico Madrid, and the Argentine did not hide his frustration in the Spanish capital after seeing his number on the electronic board at minute 72.
According to Gazzetta, Lautaro has not voiced his frustration privately, either with the coach or the teammates, but, predictably, he’s already had a chat with Chivu to clear the air.
The pink paper reports that both the club and the coach have full trust in Lautaro Martinez; simply, the Nerazzurri boss has more options from the bench this season, so he tends to rotate more.
Last season, Marko Arnautovic, Mehdi Taremi and Joaquin Correa were Inter’s backup forwards, while in the current campaign, the Nerazzurri can rely on Ange-Yoan Bonny and Francesco Pio Esposito, who have proved to be much more reliable than their predecessors in the opening phase of the season.
Lautaro’s contract with Inter expires in June 2029.
The Argentine international has scored eight goals and provided two assists in 16 appearances across all competitions this season.
