Los Blancos played in the Champions League at the Santiago Bernabeu during the week against Manchester City. Real Madrid lost 2-1 at home, with Rodrygo being the goalscorer for the Spanish side.

Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso started a front three of Vinicius Junior, Gonzalo Garcia, and Rodrygo. Kylian Mbappe started on the bench, but the French star did not get any minutes against Man City.

The top goal scorer for Real Madrid this season so far felt some discomfort ahead of the Champions League match against Man City and was almost ruled out of the squad.

Xabi Alonso said it would have been a risk to play Mbappe against Man City and decided to keep off the pitch. Ahead of a crucial La Liga match against Deportivo Alaves, fans want to know if the French star is fit to play again.

Kylian Mbappe to play for Real Madrid vs Deportivo Alaves

Real Madrid announced their squad for the match against Deportivo Alaves. Kylian Mbappe is once again a part of the squad list, but this time, many reports in Spain suggest that the French star will play this time.

Mbappe trained with the rest of the team ahead of the Alaves match today, and he is expected to start in the attack for Real Madrid.

Real Madrid is currently on 36 points in the league table; seven points behind league leaders FC Barcelona, who are on 43 points.
