The striker for Real Madrid in the Club World Cup has been Gonzalo Garcia, who has scored three goals in the tournament so far. Mbappe replaced Garcia in the 68th minute of the match against Juventus.
Ahead of the game against Dortmund, Alonso was asked if Mbappe would play, and the likely outcome is that the number '9' of Real Madrid will play.
After missing the first three games with Real Madrid in the Club World Cup, Mbappe has been seen regularly training with the team. After featuring for minutes in the previous match, Mbappe is likely to play, but it is yet unknown if he will start.
Alonso's words in a press conference showcased the Spanish manager's position when giving out information about starting lineups before matches. When asked if Mbappe would play, Alonso was firm on keeping that information to himself.

Edu Aguirre, who has covered the Real Madrid team closely, has reported that Mbappe is 100% fit and will certainly be playing against Dortmund. Alonso also mentioned being interested in starting Mbappe and Garcia together.
