Many soccer fans around the world are excited about Inter Miami against PSG as Lionel Messi is set to play against his former club. With Messi confirming to be 'unhappy' during his time in Paris, many fans believe the match will bring intensity. 

Inter Miami coach Javier Mascherano spoke ahead of the game against PSG and mentioned the difficult challenge that is in front of him. The odds favor the French team as they are the current Champions League holders.

In the press conference ahead of the PSG vs Inter Miami match, Mascherano mentioned a concerning detail regarding Messi's fitness during the FIFA Club World Cup.

Messi played all 90 minutes in each of Inter Miami's three group stage matches of the Club World Cup this summer. At 38 years old, Messi continues to produce moments, but some fans fear it could come at a cost.

Javier Mascherano: "Against Palmeiras, Messi was in a physical condition that barely allowed him to play, yet he delivered an astonishing 95 minutes, competing and controlling the tempo. As for the topic of leadership, he knows how to guide the players, especially the young ones who lack experience."

Despite his age and physical condition, Messi is expected to not only play the game against PSG, but also set to start for Inter Miami. The Argentine star is too important for the MLS side, especially against PSG, which is one of the favorites of the tournament.

Mascherano spoke about the importance of Messi in his team and how he makes the difference for Inter Miami, even when he doesn't score or assist goals. 

Messi has completed ten dribbles throughout three Club World Cup games. He completed the most dribbles in each game he's played for Inter Miami in this tournament.

Messi's only goal contribution so far was the free-kick goal he scored against FC Porto, which gave the MLS side a historic win over the Portuguese giants.
