Italian internationals Alessandro Bastoni, Nicolo Barella, Federico Dimarco, and Davide Frattesi are back in training for Inter Milan today.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Four players from Inter Milan’s squad were part of the Italy squad over the international break.
Alessandro Bastoni, Nicolo Barella, Federico Dimarco, and Davide Frattesi were all in the Azzurri camp.
It was a tough international break for Italy. They suffered a 3-0 loss to Norway in a World Cup qualifier. Then managed to beat Moldova in a must-win match.
But the Italian internationals in Inter’s squad can’t dwell on the loss to Norway for long. Nor on how it followed a deeply demoralizing end to the Nerazzurri’s season.
Rather, Bastoni, Barella, Dimarco, and Frattesi will all play a major role for Inter at the Club World Cup.
The Gazzetta report that all four had an extra day of rest yesterday. However, they return to training today.
Meanwhile, the Gazzetta report, Inter midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu is hoping to only miss the group stage opener of the Club World Cup Monterrey, and then return from injury.
Meanwhile, striker Francesco Pio Esposito holds out hope of returning for the last group stage match against River Plate.
Yann Bisseck, on the other hand, will definitely be out until the knockout rounds.
