Manchester United are among the clubs monitoring Bournemouth forward Junior Kroupi, ahead of the summer transfer window, with Liverpool, Chelsea and several Spanish sides also tracking the 19-year-old’s situation, according to the Daily Mail.

United’s interest comes at a time when the club are expected to reshape their attacking options.

The departures and uncertainties surrounding multiple forwards have left a clear need for reinforcements.

For instance, Alejandro Garnacho left the club to join Chelsea last summer.

Meanwhile, Rasmus Hojlund is set to join Napoli permanently following his loan spell.

Marcus Rashford’s long-term future remains unclear amid continued links to Barcelona.

Why Kroupi is on United’s radar

Kroupi’s rise this season has not gone unnoticed.

Despite being just 19, he has scored 10 Premier League goals, a remarkable return given his limited experience at the top level.

In fast, only seven players in the league have scored more goals than him this campaign.

Most notable, he has outscored every single Manchester United player in the Premier League this season, despite Untied signing three high-profile attackers last summer.

His efficiency also stands out.

With 36 shots producing 10 goals, Eli Junior Kroupi has shown clinical finishing.

He has significantly outperformed his expected goals (xG) of 6.57 – suggesting a forward capable of converting chances at a high level.

A familiar threat to United

Kroupi has already made his mark against the Red Devils this season.

He scored a dramatic late equaliser in Bournemouth’s 4-4 draw at Old Trafford, before repeating the feat in the reverse fixture with another crucial goal in a 2-2 draw at the Vitality Stadium.

Those performances have given United a close-up view of his composure in key matches.

Transfer competition and wider shortlist

United are not alone in their pursuit.

Liverpool and Chelsea are also monitoring the French forward.

Interest from clubs in Spain further complicates any potential deal.

The club’s recruitment strategy appears to be broad, with Manchester United recently linked to Besiktas striker Oh Hyeon-gyu as they assess multiple attacking profiles.

Additionally, United have already been in close contact with Bournemouth defender Marcos Senesi’s representatives, highlighting a growing focus on the South Coast club.

What it means for United’s rebuild

With attacking output a clear issue this season, Kroupi represents a profile United currently lack – a young, decisive forward capable of delivering goals consitently.

Given his age, output and proven impact against top opposition, it is no surprise he has emerged as a serious target.

Whether United can win the race, however, will depend on how aggressively they move in what is shaping up to be a highly competitive transfer battle.
