Juventus head coach Igor Tudor will look to mirror his Inter counterpart Cristian Chivu in his formation in Saturday’s Derby d’Italia clash between the two sides.
According to reports from Tuttosport, Tudor’s side will employ a more-flat 3-5-2 formation.
The system aims to pack the midfield and control the game in the middle of the park.
Dutch midfielder Teun Koopmeiners will join Bianconeri team and will move onto the same line as Manuel Locatelli and Khephren Thuram.
The former Atalanta man will also be able to push further forward if the coach requires it.
Furthermore, the reports claim that Tudor’s tactical choice is fuelled by Inter’s struggles against Udinese.
The Udine side deployed a flat 3-5-2 against the Nerazzurri.
Therefore, they were able to come away from San Siro with a precious three points.
Inter lost the game 2-1, after struggling to convert their possession into genuine chances.
Tudor will take satisfaction from this and will set up his Juventus side in a similar fashion.
