Mirko Di Natale of TuttoJuve reports that Juventus also had an interest in the South Korean last summer before deciding to pursue Edon Zhegrova.
“A small behind-the-scenes detail that can be revealed about Juventus is linked to Kang-in Lee,” Di Natale wrote on X. “The South Korean winger from PSG was explored as an option when talks for [Randal] Kolo Muani were still ongoing.
“The Bianconeri were considering strengthening that area of the field, and there was an inquiry about Lee before they moved forward concretely with the signing of Zhegrova.”
It will be interesting to see if Juventus decide to revisit this interest in the summer if they feel the need to bolster their attack and can guarantee a more prominent role to Lee.
More recently, Fichajes reported that Aston Villa is keeping a close eye on Lee as the club looks to strengthen its attack for an ambitious Premier League campaign.
Nonetheless, the outlet adds that PSG are approaching the situation with caution. Luis Enrique values him, but knows the player wants to feel indispensable in a competitive team.
