Juventus returned to training today after a couple of days off following their 1-1 draw with Verona at the weekend.
A tired Bianconeri side struggled to get the win against the Gialloblu, in a match marred by two controversial refereeing decisions.
With everyone back at Continassa, head coach Igor Tudor can evaluate his squad in preparation for Saturday’s match against Atalanta.
According to reports from the Gazzetta dello Sport, via TuttoMercatoWeb, Tudor may hand a first start to summer signing Edon Zhegrova. The Kosovar winger came on in the 86th minute in last week’s 4-4 draw with Dortmund before being introduced for the last ten minutes at the weekend against Verona.
The Gazzetta also report that Jonathan David currently holds the edge over Dusan Vlahovic to start in the attack. The Serbian has been far more effective off the bench this season, disappointing every time he has started from the 1st minute.
Finally, the Italian newspaper confirm that Bremer is a candidate to play against Atalanta, despite an injury-scare last week. The Brazilian only recently recovered from an ACL injury that saw him miss most of last season and therefore it is up to Tudor to assess the risks and make a decision in the coming days.
