Juventus goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio and Inter Milan wing-back Federico Dimarco both came through the Nerazzurri youth system at the same time and will now meet on the pitch as opponents.

Both Di Gregorio and Dimarco were born in Milan in 1997 and spent time coming through the ranks at Inter, as recalled by the Gazzetta dello Sport, via FcInterNews.

Di Gregorio will now face off against his old club for the first time since completing his permanent switch to the Bianconeri in the summer.

The Italian goalkeeper spent last season on loan from Monza with an obligation to buy.

Di Gregorio spent nearly twenty years at Inter, having joined the club at the age of six.

The goalkeeper progressed through the youth ranks before Monza bought him in 2022.

Di Gregorio did not make a single senior appearance for the Nerazzurri.

Dimarco, meanwhile, joined Inter’s academy at the age of seven and would stay there until 2017.

In June 2017, Swiss side Sion bought Dimarco but Inter repurchased the player the following season.

The rest is history and since then the Italian has made nearly 200 appearances for Inter in all competitions.
