Transfer reporter Matt Law has mentioned one Chelsea target today that hasn’t really been reported anywhere else recently.
This news comes after Chelsea beat Real Betis to win the Conference League on Wednesday night after being a goal down at half time and turning it around.
The Blues ended up winning the game 4-1 in the end after a bit of a Cole Palmer masterclass in the second half, providing two beautiful assists for his team mates to grab crucial goals.
Although head coach Enzo Maresca is once again not willing to get carried away after this by insisting that Chelsea’s target for next season is not going to be winning the Champions League!
There is a lot going on right now at Chelsea as the club rush around to get some deals done before heading off for the Club World Cup later this month.
They have a transfer window that is now open until June the 10th to do any business before the competition starts this summer, and then it closes for 6 days. So they are working hard on some deals, especially for attackers.
Matt Law of The Telegraph has been speaking on the London is Blue Podcast this week and mentions a Chelsea target who has not really been linked much recently.
On Chelsea transfer targets this summer, Law said:
“One to keep an eye on – Xavi Simons, who might leave. He’s one that I know Chelsea had a little look at.”
So there you go, an intriguing link that fans will wonder if he is hinting at and may know more about!
