
Kylian Mbappe has not had the best of luck in his pursuit of the UEFA Champions League, but at 26, he is already a World Cup champion with France and shows no signs of stopping in breaking individual records.
He is currently in his second season with Real Madrid, already registering 24 goals and three assists in 22 games across LaLiga, the Champions League, and the Club World Cup.
In his first year in Spain, Mbappe scored 43 goals and provided five assists in all competitions, in addition to winning the UEFA Super Cup, which represented his first European title at the club level.
Now the Frenchman has joined none other than Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in an impressive scoring category.
With his latest goal in the 1-1 draw between Real Madrid and Girona, Mbappe reached the mark of 60 goals in 2025. In this way, the No. 10 of the Merengue club becomes the first Frenchman to achieve it since Just Fontaine in 1958.
"Mbappe's 60th goal of the year places him alongside Messi, Ronaldo and Robert Lewandowski as the only players in the 21st century to hit such a tally in a single calendar year," explained the outlet Goal.
