Just two years into his five-year contract at Allianz Arena, reports suggest Bayern are open to selling him — and Liverpool could be in a strong position to make a move.

That’s according to German football expert Christian Falk, who says clubs from Saudi Arabia and two Premier League sides have also shown interest.

“No decision has yet been made on Kim Min-jae’s future. There have also been no negotiations with the player’s side,” he told the Daily Briefing. But, there is interest from Saudi Arabia. Kim has not ruled it out.

“However, we are still waiting to see whether Liverpool and Manchester United become concrete. There are also rumours that the two Premier League clubs are interested. The fact is: FC Bayern can imagine a sale. However, there is still no offer for the defender.”

Last week, CaughtOffside reported that Bayern Munich have lowered their asking price for Kim from around €50 million to closer to €35 million. The 28-year-old defender is reportedly open to a move this summer.

According to the report, Kim would prefer a move to the Premier League if he does leave the Allianz Arena. Liverpool are among the clubs showing interest, with Newcastle United having made initial contact. PSG and AC Milan are also said to be keeping an eye on his situation.
