These are the Liverpool vs Leeds United confirmed lineups for their Premier League clash on New Year’s Day. The first clash of 2026 sees a resurgent Daniel Farke take his team to the champions, who are also in a good vein of form compared to their recent slide down the table. The back five will meet Arne Slot’s new adjustments as both sides look to start the new year with a win.
Alisson starts in goal with a back line of Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate, Conor Bradley, and Andy Robertson. Curtis Jones, Dominik Szoboszlai, Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, and Hugo Ekitike round out the eleven.
Robertson comes in for Milos Kerkez at full back with Alexis Mac Allister and Federico Chiesa coming out for Szoboszlai and Frimpong. The system is a 4-2-3-1 as used recently.
Lucas Perri starts in goal with Gabriel Gudmundsson, Jaka Bijol, and Paskal Struijk, James Justin, Sebastiaan Bornauw, Ilia Gruev, Ethan Ampadu, Anton Stach, Lukas Nmecha, and Brendan Aaronsen.
There’s a few changes from the most recent clash with both Noah Okafor and Dominic Calvert-Lewin out of the front two. A few new names come in like Bornauw and Gruev with the tactics set to be tweaked.
Stay tuned for the Liverpool vs Leeds confirmed lineups.
