These are the confirmed lineups for Manchester City vs Brighton & Hove Albion for the mid-sunday showing in the Premier League. The Cityzens have dropped points to Tottenham already but they now face a Seagulls squad that has yet to get firing in the league. A 6-0 win over Oxford will provide some momentum but they need to start gaining points in this competition.
James Trafford starts in goal wiht Matheus Nunes, Abdukodir Khusanov, John Stones, and Rayan Ait-Nouri in the back line. Rodri partners Bernardo Silva in deep midfield. Oscar Bobb, Omar Marmoush, and Tijjani Reijnders support Erling Haaland up front.
Two changes from the defeat to Tottenham as Nico Gonzalez and Rayan Cherki are moved out for the more defensive duo of Rodri and Silva, both have the technical ability to control the ball better than the names they replaced.
Bart Verbruggen starts in goal with Lewis Dunk and Jan Paul van Hecke, Maxim de Cruyper, and Joel Veltman in the back line. Carlos Baleba is in midfield with Jack Hinshelwood. Kaoru Mitoma, Yankuba Minteh, and Diego Gomez support Danny Welbeck up front.
As the Seagulls played in midweek they have made a host of changes. Most notably with the return of key names like Baleba and Mitoma, the system will remain the same with a 4-2-3-1 approach.
