Manchester United’s 2025/26 season has been filled with standout moments across the first team, academy and women’s side, with several individuals stepping up.
As the season reaches its end, the club’s internal awards, as announced on their website, have highlighted both emerging talent and established stars who have made a decisive impact.
One of the most memorable moments of the year has now been officially recognised.
Manchester United have awarded Patrick Dorgu the Goal of the Season for 2025/26.
The Denmark international produced a stunning strike in a dramatic 3-2 victory over Arsenal, a match that showcased United’s attacking quality in a key January clash.
With the game finely balanced at 1-1 early in the second half, Dorgu combined neatly with Bruno Fernandes before creating space between defenders with quick control in tight areas.
A sharp flick eliminated his marker and set up a powerful left-footed effort that crashed in off the crossbar, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance.
The goal proved decisive in one of United’s biggest wins of the campaign.
Bruno Fernandes, who already won FWA Footballer of the Year, has also been central to United’s success, contributing heavily to the team’s attacking output under Carrick, and has officially won the Players Player of the Season award.
The Portuguese midfielder has now recorded 20 assists across all competitions, placing him on the verge of matching the Premier League’s single-season assist record.
That benchmark stands at 20, jointly held by Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne.
Bruno Fernandes has also collected the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year award for a fifth time, further cementing his status as one of the club’s modern greats.
His influence has helped drive United to 10 wins in 15 matches since Carrick’s arrival, securing Champions League qualification.
The club’s youth system has also been strongly represented in this year’s awards.
JJ Gabriel has been named Jimmy Murphy Young Player of the Year after an outstanding breakthrough season at academy level, becoming the youngest recipient of the honour.
Meanwhile, Tyler Fletcher has been recognised as Reserve-Team Player of the Year after progressing into Carrick’s senior training group and impressing in Premier League 2.
Both players underline the continued strength of United’s academy pathway.
The women’s side also contributed to the club’s award winners, with Hinata Miyazawa claiming Goal of the Season for her strike against Liverpool.
Jess Park, in her debut season, was voted Players’ Player of the Year after a consistent campaign featuring 9 goals and 5 assists across the season.
Across all levels, the awards reflect a season of progress and transition.
With performances improving and key players thriving, United head into the summer with momentum building across the entire club structure.
