Next season has already started to come into focus for Manchester United, with the club officially unveiling the 2026/27 home shirt ahead of an important final week of fixtures.

The adidas release has generated excitement among supporters, especially with its retro-inspired design, but fans will not have to wait long to see it on the pitch.

Several United teams are in action over the coming days, although not all of them will debut the fresh strip immediately.

Manchester United Women will become the first United side to wear the new home kit, as they confirmed on their official website.

Marc Skinner’s team are set to debut the shirt when they face Chelsea Women at Stamford Bridge.

That means the women’s side will take the honour before any of the men’s teams appear in the updated design.

The decision ensures the new look gets its first outing in a senior competitive fixture.

Despite major fixtures on the calendar, the academy sides will continue using the 2025/26 kit.

Manchester United Under-18s will not wear the new strip for the FA Youth Cup final against Manchester City Under-18s.

The match takes place at the Joie Stadium, but Darren Fletcher’s side will keep the current kit for consistency across the campaign.

The same approach applies to the Under-21s.

Manchester United Under-21s will also continue in this season’s shirt for the Premier League 2 play-off final against Brighton & Hove Albion Under-21s.

Manchester United first team to wear it at Old Trafford

The senior men’s side will wear the new home kit for the first time this weekend.

Michael Carrick’s team are set to debut it against Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford on Sunday.

United need at least one point to guarantee third place in the Premier League, adding further importance to the occasion.

The team are then expected to wear the same strip again in the final league fixture away to Brighton & Hove Albion at the American Express Stadium.

With the home kit already launched and a fourth shirt expected later in the campaign, United’s visual identity is evolving alongside their squad rebuild.

The final two matches of the season will now also serve as the first glimpse of what the team will look like heading into 2026/27.
