Every year, the countdown to a new Manchester United home kit plays out in stages, first the whispers, then the concepts, and finally the official images.
Now, we get our first look at the full kits, showing us how close the concept design leaks have been.
Thanks once again to Opaleak and FootyHeadlines, the first pictures of Manchester United’s 2026/27 home kit are now in public view, following their newest leak.
As always, United will be decked out in their traditional red, but this time the detailing tells a story.
White runs as the secondary colour across the shirt, with black rounding off the look, a three-tone combination that pays homage to one of the most iconic eras in the club’s history.
The new kit takes direct inspiration from the Admiral designs worn between 1975 and 1980, a run of shirts still regarded as some of the most distinctive United have ever produced.
The defining feature is the striped collar and sleeve cuffs, lifted straight from those Admiral classics.
It’s the kind of detail the club has leaned on before, the current third kit is a nod to the black and yellow strip of the mid-1990s, and this one continues that pattern of reaching back into the archive for the home shirt itself.
A fresh touch comes on the back collar, which features a special “UNITED” icon designed to resemble a waving flag.
Set against a red background and surrounded by flowing white and black outlines, it’s a subtle nod to the terrace culture that the Admiral era belonged to.
A change option for the shorts is available in black, while the socks carry the striped design through from the collar and sleeve cuffs, tying the full kit together.
The images, shared by Opaleak, show the kit in its authentic long-sleeve version, the first complete, confirmed look after mockups from kit insider grhaer9 in late March and a Turkish leak of the shorts and socks from esvaphane in early April.
As expected, the shirt will feature the white Snapdragon logo in the centre, alongside the white Adidas branding and Manchester United crest.
It’s understood the new kit will be available from the summer of 2026, ready for the upcoming Premier League, and hopefully European, campaigns.
