Injuries never come at a good time.
But injuries sustained in December 2025 are arguably worse.
That’s because Manchester United are already dealing with three of their players away on international duty.
Bryan Mbeumo, Amad Diallo and Noussair Mazraoui are all playing for their countries at the Africa Cup of Nations 2025.
With three crucial players away, United would be hoping to not lose more players to injuries.
Bruno Fernandes getting injured against Aston Villa was a shock to the system.
Fernandes is a player who is rarely injured and plays almost every minute of every game.
Not only is he a crucial player in the team, he’s also the senior team captain.
Another player currently injured who has also served as captain of the club is Harry Maguire.
CentreDevils exclusively revealed that Harry Maguire is closing in on a return after a spell out injured.
Getting a senior defender like Maguire back will certainly help the club in the coming period.
And now news has emerged that another player is fit and ready to return after injury.
Taking to X, Martin Devaney has confirmed that Manchester United midfielder Jacob Devaney is fit again.
Jacob Devaney suffered a leg injury less than 5 minutes into a game against Borussia Dortmund for the under 21 side.
United went on to win the game, but had to do so without their captain as Devaney was taken off.
Many believed it may have been a serious problem based on how soon the injury was sustained and his subsequent substitution from the game.
However, his father Martin has responded to a comment by another user on the social media platform to confirm his return from injury.
His return to action couldn’t come at a better time as Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has been giving more opportunities to players from the youth team in the first team squad.
Don’t be surprised to see the name of Jacob Devaney on the bench in the not too distant future.
He’s fit!
