Manchester United links to UA92 just got stronger with a major appointment to their board.

UA92 has grown from a Class of ’92 passion project into a proper higher education outfit in Greater Manchester, built with Lancaster University and fronted by familiar United names.

It has always carried that Manchester United halo through Gary Neville’s involvement and the wider Class of ’92 story, with the institution leaning hard into employability and industry access.

That connection has only ramped up recently. Old Trafford is now part of the UA92 picture, with teaching spaces set to be used inside the stadium, adding a very literal United backdrop to the student experience.

Now comes the clearest executive-level crossover yet.

Insider Media reports that Collette Roche has joined the UA92 board, with the Manchester United executive described as the club’s chief executive for new stadium development.

The appointment lands just weeks after United agreed to provide teaching spaces for UA92 within Old Trafford.

The same report says UA92 has posted its first positive EBITDA, with revenue up 26 per cent to £14.8 million and EBITDA at £200,000, described as a £1.1 million year-on-year improvement.

Student numbers are also said to have risen 30 per cent to 1,217, alongside graduate outcomes of 91 per cent progressing into employment or further study.

Speaking after taking on her new role, Collette Roche commented: “UA92’s mission to widen access to higher education and develop industry-ready talent is something that I strongly support.”

She continued: “Being part of the board provides an opportunity to contribute to an organisation that is making a real difference, and I am proud to be a part of that.”

With big decisions around infrastructure and the club’s future direction, the stadium conversation is now touching education, community footprint and talent pathways too.
