Manchester United have formally updated their Premier League squad list following the closure of the winter transfer window, with changes reflecting behind the scenes rather than any late senior additions.

Newly appointed interim boss Michael Carrick named a settled 23-man senior group for the remainder of the campaign, with no first-team signing made during the window.

The update instead highlights a subtle but noteworthy development within the club’s academy structure, reinforcing United’s ongoing focus on youth progression under the current sporting model.

Among the updates is the inclusion of Solomon Honor, who has officially been added to the club’s Professional Development Phase (PDP) group as a goalkeeper.

The 19-year-old joined United from Blackburn Rovers and will continue his development at Carrington, working primarily within the Under-21 setup.

Honor’s arrival comes amid a period of transition within United’s academy goalkeeping ranks, with several young players currently out on loan and others pushing through the age groups.

His addition provides further depth and competition at PDP level, an area the club continues to invest in as part of its long-term planning.

The updated squad list also confirms recent departures, including Rhys Bennett’s permanent move to Fleetwood Town, while academy midfielder Edward Ibrovic-Fletcher has completed a transfer to Leeds United’s youth setup.

Sixteen United players remain out on loan across domestic and European competitions.

While the headline focus remains on Carrick’s first-team options and the club’s push for UEFA Champions League qualification, this latest registration underlines the Red Devils’ continued emphasis on strengthening its development pathway – with Honor now the latest name added to that structure.
