Manchester United have continued to strengthen both on and off the pitch this summer.
Michael Carrick has already welcomed Andrey Santos, Youri Tielemans, Karl Darlow and Tynan Thompson to Old Trafford, while the club continue working on the signing of a third midfielder before the transfer window closes.
However, recruitment has not been the only priority.
United’s commercial department has also been working behind the scenes to generate fresh revenue as the club prepares for another season in the Champions League.
That work has now resulted in another significant financial boost.
Manchester United have officially announced a new multi-year principal partnership with Betway.
The partnership will see Betway become United’s official principal partner and exclusive global betting partner, with the company’s branding appearing on the training apparel worn by both the men’s and women’s teams.
According to The Athletic, the deal is estimated by club sources to be worth more than £18 million per season, making it one of the most valuable standalone training kit sponsorships in world football.
Betway branding will also feature around Old Trafford and the Progress with Unity Stadium on matchdays, while supporters can also expect fan competitions as part of the agreement.
The announcement brings an end to a process that has lasted for more than a year after United’s previous training kit partnership with Tezos expired in 2025.
Rather than rushing into another agreement, club executives held talks with several different brands before deciding on a deal they believed reflected Manchester United’s commercial value.
The additional revenue provides another welcome financial boost as United continue investing across the club, with further transfer business still expected before the summer window closes.
It also represents another example of Manchester United’s ability to secure high-value commercial partnerships despite changing regulations surrounding football sponsorships.
