Manchester United returns from the mid-season break to face 15th-placed Leeds United at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils currently sit in third place following a 2-2 draw against Bournemouth on March 20.

They are well-positioned for Champions League qualification, holding a three-point lead over Liverpool and a seven-point lead over Chelsea. While they are level on points with fourth-placed Aston Villa, United maintain the advantage of a game in hand.

Since taking over from Ruben Amorim, Michael Carrick has recorded seven wins, two draws, and only one defeat.

His performance has strengthened his case for the permanent managerial position, and a victory today would further solidify his standing with the board ahead of next season.

On the other hand, Daniel Farke’s side sits just three points above the relegation zone and is winless in their last five league matches.

Although they have reached the FA Cup semi-finals, Farke will be eager to regain momentum in the Premier League as well.

Manchester United vs Leeds United Expected Lineups

Harry Maguire is unavailable for this fixture following a red card in his last match. While Patrick Dorgu has resumed individual training, he is not yet fit for a return to the squad.

Michael Carrick must also decide whether to start Benjamin Sesko or bring him on as a clinical substitute.

Lisandro Martinez also could make an appearance if deemed fit.

For the visitors, defender Joe Rodon and midfielder Anton Stach are now sidelined. Former Manchester United player Daniel James is also unavailable for this fixture.

Leeds also face further concerns in defense, with centre-back Jaka Bijol doubtful for the match.
