Many happy returns to Celtic’s most decorated player. James Forrest still has his part to play on and off the park….
Happy birthday to the one and only James Forrest, Celtic Football club’s most decorated player who turns 34 today.
Despite now being at the veteran stages and not an automatic pick, the Prestwick born winger is still very much a treasured and valued member of our Celtic squad.
This could indeed be James’s last season as a Celtic player, but one he will still have an important role to play on and off the park as we look to remain the dominant force in Scottish football.
James has recovered from the end of season knock that he endured in the cup final defeat to Aberdeen, and will be raring to start the new season.
Despite the loss of Nicolas Kuhn, new players will be purchased with the wide berths in mind these next coming weeks rendering James’s first team opportunities, but his ability on the park will make him a very much valued asset, just as his experience off it will do likewise.
James isn’t being kept around through sentiment, Brendan Rodgers isn’t that type of manager and he knows exactly the value James Forrest brings to the squad.
James will play an important part next season, especially when rotation is needed amid a heavy fixture schedule. Bring in Forrest with his experience, ability and winning mentality is going to be a telling factor for the Celtic manager.
James Forrest remains important and remains at Celtic on merit. Happy Birthday legend.
