Marcus Rashford has had a standout loan spell with Barcelona this season, however, his future with the club still remains unknown.

Despite scoring 14 goals and grabbing 14 assists in 49 games, covering the injuries of Lamine Yamal and Raphinha to help win the LaLiga title, Barca are yet to commit to signing Rashford.

They hold the option to sign him for £26 million however even see this cut price deal, £14 million less than Aston Villa’s option to buy last summer, as too much.

However, they have gone ahead, out of nowhere, with the signing of Anthony Gordon for £70 million from Newcastle United, seemingly set to replace Rashford.

Now though, we’re unlikely to see an end of the Marcus Rashford transfer saga until after the World Cup as the 28-year-old has been called up to Thomas Tuchel’s England team.

As such, ahead of the tournament, The Sun has reported that the United attacker has been seen with Sir David Beckham’s Inter Miami, training before the games begin.

It’s understood that Tuchel has asked his 26-man-squad to spend the period between the end of the season and the start of the World Cup in North America or the Caribbean.

The main reason behind this request from the England boss is for his team to acclimatise to the conditions, with the temperature sure to impact players this summer.

It’s expected that some games, played across the USA, Canada and Mexico, are set to reach over 26°C.

As such, Rashford is putting himself through his paces with private coach Colin Little, who has guided his development through his time at Old Trafford, getting himself used to the conditions in the USA.
