Reports in Italy confirm that Inter and Olympique de Marseille have come to an agreement for France international Benjamin Pavard, who is set to leave San Siro on loan following the Nerazzurri’s deal for Manchester City’s Manuel Akanji.
The summer transfer window in Serie A ends today at 20:00 CET (19:00 BST). Make sure you follow all the live updates and confirmed transfers on the Football Italia LIVEBLOG.
It is a case of one in, one out for Inter on deadline day. After securing a loan deal for Akanji, which also includes an option to buy and a potential obligation, Pavard is also set to make a loan move on the last day of the summer transfer window according to Sky Sport Italia.
Sky have not yet confirmed any specific details of the agreement, but it is understood that Marseille have negotiated a loan deal rather than a permanent transfer.
The 2018 World Cup winner, who has spent the last two seasons in Serie A, will return to his homeland for the first time in nine years, following spells with VfB Stuttgart, Bayern Munich and most recently Inter.
