Mason Greenwood could leave Marseille this summer after just two seasons with the French outfit.
The former English international, who came through the Manchester United academy, has excelled for the club across his two seasons with 48 goals in 80 appearances.
However, off the field, the club has been dominated by controversy with manager Roberto De Zerbi leaving the club earlier this year.
Director of Football Medhi Benatia has also been reported to be a vocal critic of the 24-year-old whilst Mason Greenwood has also skipped mandatory French lessons arguing that everyone inside the dressing room spoke English.
Paris FC have previously been linked with a move for the Englishman with the club preparing a bid to sign him late last month.
Now, an asking price between €70-80m has been named by L’Équipe. The outlet also understands that clubs in Italy, Spain, Germany, and Turkey have made enquiries ahead of the summer transfer window.
The French publication also added that a return to the Premier League is not currently feasible whilst Mason Greenwood is not open to a move to the Saudi Pro League.
Manchester United currently still retain 40% of the player’s rights and would therefore take a large sum from any potential deal that could be built during the transfer window.
Greenwood’s next club is not certain yet although, with several clubs already making an enquiry, it is likely that one could make a bid soon.
Focus could now switch to see which club opens the bidding for the 24-year-old and if their bid is close to the €70-80m that is being demanded by Marseille.
If it is not, Marseille will have a choice to make between accepting a lower offer or still pursuing with their current high demands for the player.
