Matheus Cunha nearly knocked out cold in training

Matheus Cunha joined Manchester United in the summer from Wolverhampton Wanderers on a deal that sees Cunha remain at the club for multiple years.

Since joining United, the Brazilian international has featured eleven times across all competitions scoring once.

However, he had to pull out of international duty in August due to an injury that he picked up early into his time at Old Trafford.

After this, the 26-year-old shared an update that saw him working at a private gym in Manchester signalling a major step towards recovery.

Furthermore, following this update, Cunha returned against Chelsea in the Premier League playing 26 minutes before making a full start against Brentford in the following game.

But, recently, after announcing his involvement at the Altrincham Christmas lights switch on event, Cunha pulled out of the event due to an incident in training.

After this incident, CentreDevils was able to understand that the injury was due to an accident in training and that, even with Cunha’s efforts to return, he wasn’t able to play against Everton but the injury is seen as minor.

Now, a new update has emerged on Cunha’s current injury claiming the forward was nearly knocked out cold in training.

Reporting on Manchester United, Talksport have revealed that Cunha was nearly out cold following the incident in training that saw him miss the Everton game.

Furthermore, the outlet have confirmed that the injury is considered minor.

But, Talksport have also said that the Red Devils are following the concussion protocols and are said to not be open to taking risks with Matheus Cunha.

With this news revealed, attention could turn for further updates on Cunha following his injury that saw him miss the Everton game.

Furthermore, attention could turn towards his potential return date against either Crystal Palace or West Ham United.
