One Manchester United signing earns two individual awards after the first month of the 2025/26 season
It will take some time for all five of Manchester United’s new signings to settle into their new roles, but one player has already picked up two individual awards following the opening month of the 2025/26 season.
The Premier League is currently paused for September international fixtures, a break that hasn’t come at the best time for a United side looking to build momentum under their new manager.

After four games, Ruben Amorim’s side have managed just one win—a 3-2 victory over Burnley at Old Trafford—alongside defeats to Arsenal and Grimsby Town, and a draw with Fulham.
Fans will have a clearer view of Amorim’s changes once league play resumes. The summer signings joined a squad coming off a disappointing campaign and are expected to help turn results around.
Amorim’s side are back in action against Man City next weekend, looking to close an early gap in the Premier League standings between themselves and their rivals.
Despite some early questions about results, there are signs emerging that Ineos’ approach in the transfer market may be starting to pay off.
Mbeumo hasn’t wasted any time settling in. His impact has been immediate, and it didn’t take long for fans to take notice.
The Cameroonian forward arrived with high expectations, given his proven Premier League track record, and so far he’s looked right at home in United’s system.
He was named Manchester United’s Player of the Month for August, picking up the award ahead of teammates Leny Yoro and Matthijs de Ligt.

Supporters made their voices heard through votes cast on the club’s official app. The poll saw thousands participating, making it clear that Mbeumo is already gaining popularity among the fanbase.
On top of that recognition, he also won the Goal of the Month award for his strike against Burnley. It’s worth noting that his only other competition for that accolade came from Bruno Fernandes’ penalty in United’s lone victory so far this season.
A positive showing against Burnley has set the tone for what could be a strong run of fixtures ahead.
Burnley’s defence struggled to contain him, and his movement gave Scott Parker’s side problems throughout the match.
Mbeumo played a key role in helping United regain the lead at 2-1, setting up Dalot for a clean finish inside the box. That assist helped to give him the edge in earning Man of the Match honours.
He will return from international duty with Cameroon to feature in his first Manchester derby next weekend. United will look to bridge an early gap over their rivals, who are currently ahead of them in the Premier League table.
