The Premier League title race has gotten more interesting after Arsenal lost 2-1 to Bournemouth in their 32nd league game of the season.

Arsenal are still top of the league table, but Manchester City, who are nine points behind them, have two games in hand. Manchester City play Chelsea tomorrow at Stamford Bridge, and next week, they host Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium.

This is Arsenal's fourth league loss of the season, and with only six league games left, the pressure has piled on the team after this result against Bournemouth.

Arsenal were never in the lead as Junior Kroupi scored the opener for Bournemouth in the 17th minute. Viktor Gyokeres equalized via a penalty kick in the 35th minute. In the second half, Alex Scott scored Bournemouth's second of the day in the 74th minute, which was the game-winner.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta acknowledges the disappointment this result brings to the team and fans, but looks ahead and wants the players to do the same.

After the match, Arteta was asked his thoughts on the result, and the Spanish head coach said, "Disappointing. It's a big punch in the face, and it's about how we react now. They [Bournemouth] are a team who haven't lost for 11 games for a reason, they did a lot right."

Arteta critiques his team's performance today and said, "We were far from efficient. The first chance they had to attack the box, it's a deflection, a bad defending action, and it's a goal. That's something we have to recover from. The second half, you expect a different game. We did a lot of strange things today. We have been very consistent. This can happen, this is football."

The Arsenal manager talked about the player's reaction to the result and encouraged them to look ahead. Arteta said the result has hurt the players and said, "A lot. It has to hurt. They have to take it on the chin. You stand up and go for the fight, or you're out. It's a big week. A lot at stake. We're still in a good position in both competitions."
