Gabriel Jesus has struggled with injuries throughout 2025, and Mikel Arteta has now made it clear where the Brazilian stands at Arsenal.
Back in January, Jesus picked up an ACL injury during an FA Cup tie against Manchester United.
He recently rejoined full training with Arsenal, marking a step towards his long-anticipated return to the Gunners’ line-up.
With his comeback now close and the January transfer window approaching, Arteta has not been shy about where he stands on the striker’s future.
Arteta has made it clear that Jesus is staying put this January, even with three strikers now on the books at Arsenal.
There had been talk linking the Brazilian star with a move to Everton, but that possibility now looks off the table.
He remains an important part of Arteta’s plans, and any potential move away appears to be firmly ruled out for now.

The forward is expected back early next month, but could aim for his first start against Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup.
Arsenal have a packed fixture schedule ahead, so squad rotation will be crucial in the coming months.
With Kai Havertz and Viktor Gyokeres both dealing with injuries, the Spanish manager will want to avoid being left short up front by letting any of his strikers go.
Jesus could provide valuable depth for Arsenal during this busy period. He will also be eager to make an impact as he looks to force his way back into Brazil’s squad ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
Since coming back from injury, Jesus has shown good form during training sessions, with the club sharing a few of his finishes on social media.

Fans will recall how quickly the former Manchester City striker settled in after joining Arsenal in 2022, recording 11 goal involvements in his first 12 outings.
If he can get back to that level, there is every chance he will be challenging Havertz and Gyokeres for more minutes.
