Adrien Rabiot’s mother and agent Veronique says Milan have always been ‘the very first choice’ for the French midfielder, who has just landed in Italy.
Milan have always been Rabiot’s “very first choice” during the summer, according to the player’s mother and agent Veronique.
Rabiot joined Milan on a permanent transfer from Olympique Marseille on deadline day, reuniting with his former Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri.
As reported by TMW, Rabiot and his mother, Veronique, landed in Italy on Thursday morning.
Reporters asked the midfielder’s agent whether a move to Milan was her son’s priority: “Of course, [Milan] have always been the very first choice,” she replied.
Rabiot scored 16 goals and provided 11 assists in 127 appearances under Allegri at Juventus.
The French midfielder is expected to make his Milan debut on Sunday when the Rossoneri host Bologna at San Siro.
The upcoming Serie A fixture will also mark an early reunion between Rabiot and his ex-Marseille teammate Jonathan Rowe. The pair had clashed in the Marseille dressing room in August, in a scene that was described as”utter chaos.”
