Monza are reportedly eyeing up moves for Inter Milan teenager Giacomo De Pieri, and Udinese’s Simone Pafundi.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They report that new Brianzoli Sporting Director Nicolas Burdisso wants to focus on young talents.
Monza are back in Serie B. After a couple of fairly successful seasons in the top flight, they collapsed last campaign.
The Brianzoli did not just suffer relegation from Serie A. They did so as the team at the bottom of the league table, seemingly doomed to relegation months before the end of the campaign.
Now, Monza must reboot in Serie B. And they have to do so quickly.
To this end, the Gazzetta dello Sport report, new Monza Sporting Director Nicolas Burdisso is keen to give young talents from Italy the chance to shine.
Therefore, one target for the Lombard club would be Inter’s Giacomo De Pieri.
There’s little doubt that De Pieri is ready to make the step up after an excellent season with Inter’s Primavera side.
Therefore, Monza could offer him a chance to find his feet in senior football.
Meanwhile, the Gazzetta report, the Brianzoli also want highly-rated Udinese youngster Simone Pafundi.
