Matteo Moretto reports that Napoli have offered a six-year contract to Roma striker Artem Dovbyk, but the Partenopei remain in talks with Rasmus Hojlund as well.
Napoli are looking for a new centre-forward after Romelu Lukaku suffered a thigh injury that will force him out of action for over three months.
As Football Italia reported on Wednesday, Manchester United forward Hojlund is the Partenopei’s top target, although Giovanni Manna has also sounded out other strikers, including Andrea Pinamonti and Tolu Arokodare.
Transfer expert Matteo Moretto adds a name to the mix, saying that Napoli have sent an offer to Dovbyk.
It’s a verbal offer for the player only, as club-to-club negotiations have not begun yet.
According to Moretto, Napoli have put a six-year deal on the table and a salary of €3m net.
As for Hojlund, Napoli remain in talks with Manchester United and the player’s camp, reports Fabrizio Romano.
The Red Devils are ready to offload the ex-Atalanta striker, but Hojlund doesn’t want to leave Old Trafford and if he were to do so, he’d only accept a loan move with an obligation to buy rather than an option to purchase.
This is one of the reasons that convinced Milan to drop the Denmark international and sign Victor Boniface instead.
