Napoli will make their first appearance at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona on Sunday, August 30 against Como, who have yet to win a game this season.
Massimiliano Allegri’s team started their campaign with a 2-0 win over Genoa, and Como had a 1-1 draw away from home against Udinese. The home side will have a hard test in front of them after the 2025-26 campaign, and the visitors will be a big challenge for them.
Napoli are expected to make limited changes from the team that defeated Genoa. Alex Meret should play in goal, and Giovanni Di Lorenzo, Amir Rrahmani, Rafa Marin and Leonardo Spinazzola should start in defense.
The midfield is expected to be between the guardrails with Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa, Stanislav Lobotka and Scott McTominay in the middle, while potential attackers Matteo Politano and Alisson Santos will be available to support Rasmus Hojlund. Kevin De Bruyne can be one of the substitutes as he will start from the bench.
Napoli’s starting lineup: Meret; Di Lorenzo, Rrahmani, Rafa Marin, Spinazzola; Anguissa, Lobotka, McTominay; Politano, Hojlund, Alisson Santos.
As expected, Como will play 4-2-3-1. Jean Butez will start with Yan Couto, Jacobo Ramon, Trevoh Chalobah and Alex Valle.
Lucas Da Cunha and Luis Milla could anchor midfield, with Assane Diao, Nico Paz and Martin Baturina playing behind striker Anastasios Douvikas.
Como predicted lineup: Butez; Couto, Ramon, Chalobah, Valle; Da Cunha, Milla; Diao, Nico Paz, Baturina; Douvikas.
