Newcastle United will be aiming to extend their unbeaten run at the start of the 2026-27 Premier League season when they host AFC Bournemouth at St. James’ Park on Saturday, September 5.

The Magpies have taken four points from their opening two league games, drawing 2-2 with Liverpool before earning a 2-0 win at Tottenham Hotspur. Meanwhile, Bournemouth have one point after losing to Manchester City and drawing 1-1 with Everton.

Newcastle United vs AFC Bournemouth Predicted Lineups

Newcastle manager Matthias Jaissle has a few players out with injuries. There are no suspensions and Dan Burn, Joelinton, and William Osula are all out. New signing Matias Fernandez-Pardo may be able to make his debut from the bench.

Newcastle United starting XI (4-2-3-1): Lukas Hornicek; Amar Dedic, Malick Thiaw, Sven Botman, Lewis Hall; Joseph Willock, Nico Gonzalez; Anthony Elanga, Lewis Miley, Harvey Barnes; Yoane Wissa.

Bournemouth also have four injuries to deal with, with Julian Araujo and Veljko Milosavljevic out. Tyler Adams is fit following a minor knock and may be a part of the squad.

Bournemouth predicted lineup (4-2-3-1): Djordje Petrovic; Adam Smith, Julio Soler, Adrien Truffert, James Hill; Tyler Adams, Alex Scott; Rayan, Justin Kluivert, Marcus Tavernier; Evanilson.
