
Newcastle United will be aiming to extend their unbeaten run at the start of the 2026-27 Premier League season when they host AFC Bournemouth at St. James’ Park on Saturday, September 5.
The Magpies have taken four points from their opening two league games, drawing 2-2 with Liverpool before earning a 2-0 win at Tottenham Hotspur. Meanwhile, Bournemouth have one point after losing to Manchester City and drawing 1-1 with Everton.
Newcastle manager Matthias Jaissle has a few players out with injuries. There are no suspensions and Dan Burn, Joelinton, and William Osula are all out. New signing Matias Fernandez-Pardo may be able to make his debut from the bench.

Bournemouth also have four injuries to deal with, with Julian Araujo and Veljko Milosavljevic out. Tyler Adams is fit following a minor knock and may be a part of the squad.
