Nicolo Tresoldi attracts concrete interest from Manchester United

Manchester United’s summer transfer window has been busy so far with new names coming in the door, familiar faces returning, and others leaving the club.

Andrey Santos, Karl Darlow, and Youri Tielemans are amongst the new faces that have signed on for the upcoming season with the club targeting both the midfield position and goalkeeper position with these signings.

United’s business during last summer’s transfer window focused primarily on attacking positions, on the other hand, with the club changing the face of its attack ahead of the 2025-26 season.

Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, and Benjamin Sesko all signed for the club during the window and all went onto score more than ten goals for the club in their campaign in Manchester United colours.

Links have been made with multiple other strikers this summer, even if the club are focused on midfield, with Dusan Vlahovic emerging as one of the names that United have taken an interest in.

Football journalist Tomas Taecke, writing for HLN, has now reported that the Red Devils hold a concrete interest in Club Brugge striker Nicolo Tresoldi.

The journalist has also revealed that AS Roma are interested in the forward and have already had a bid of €35m knocked back whilst also stating that Club Brugge do not want to sell the striker in this summer’s window.

Tresoldi, 21, joined Brugge in last summer’s transfer window and made 58 appearances for the Belgian Pro League side in his first campaign at the club, scoring 23 goals and providing seven assists.

A product of the Hannover 96 academy, Nicolo Tresoldi made eleven appearances for Hannover’s second team before moving up to the first team where he made 80 appearances and scored 14 goals.

With a bid of €35m already rejected by Club Brugge, United may have to go all-out if they are to sign the striker.
