Not Romero: Club ‘dreaming’ of Tottenham player, will begin working on summer move

Tottenham Hotspur striker Alejo Veliz has been linked with a move away from the club, and Rosario Central are hoping to sign him this summer.

According to journalist Esteban Edul, they are ‘dreaming’ of signing the 21-year-old striker, and they will begin working on a move soon.

The 21-year-old was at Espanyol this past season, and he did reasonably well with them. Although his numbers are not impressive, his overall performance was positive. He has the talent to develop into a quality player with the right guidance, and it will be interesting to see if he’s willing to join Rosario Central in the summer.

The striker has been linked with River Plate in recent months as well.

Veliz needs more game time

Returning to his former club could allow him to play more often, and it would help him develop quickly. He is unlikely to get regular opportunities at Tottenham next season, and he might have to go out on loan once again if he stays at the London club.

The 21-year-old will look to sort out his long-term future and focus on his football. Returning to Rosario Central would be ideal for him. It remains to be seen whether his former club can get the deal done. It is evident that he is not a key part of Tottenham’s plans, and they should look to cash in on him.

Alejo Veliz needs to move on

Tottenham have been linked with multiple attacking players in recent weeks, and if they end up signing some of them, the 21-year-old will fall further down the pecking order. It would make sense for him to move on and join a club where he will get regular opportunities.

Even though he is a prodigious young talent, it is unlikely that he will have a bright future at Tottenham. This could be the right opportunity for both parties to go their separate ways. If Veliz manages to fulfil his potential, he might get a shot at another big club in future.
