Bayern Munich were never interested in Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson despite reports stating otherwise according to Bundesliga expert Christian Falk.

Jackson is expected to leave Chelsea this summer following the arrival of both Liam Delap and Joao Pedro, with the Brazilian in-particular making an instant impact.

The Sen egal international wasn’t in the squad for either game against Bayer Leverkusen or AC Milan, with the club hopeful of finding a solution.

Bayern not interested in Jackson

Chelsea have reportedly set their asking price at £80m for Jackson, but it’s believed clubs feel they can negotiate that price down.

Jackson is attracting interest from a number of clubs including Newcastle, with AC Milan and Juventus also thought to be admirers of the striker.

Chelsea are yet to receive an official offer for the 24-year-old, but the Blues are thought to be confident they can find a suitor for Jackson.

There were reports Bayern had enquired about Jackson, but Bundesliga expert Falk has provided an update on those rumours.

“It is NOT TRUE that Bayern were interested in Rasmus Hojlund or Nicolas Jackson this summer, he wrote in his latest CF Bayern Insider column.

“The plan is to play with Harry Kane in the striker position, with Luis Diaz pre-planned as Kane’s backup.”

Bayern open talks with Chelsea for Nkunku

Whilst Bayern aren’t interest in Jackson, they are interested in Christopher Nkunku, having previously tried to sign the Frenchman in January.

Bayern have reportedly opened talks with Chelsea over a move for Nkunku, and it’s thought their preference would be a loan with an option to buy.

Chelsea are seeking a permanent transfer, and reportedly lowered their asking price to £43m, although it’s now been claimed a deal could be done for less than that figure.

Nkunku’s departure would then create space in the squad, and allow Chelsea to move forward to try and close a deal for Xavi Simons.
