NWSL stats and minutiae after Week 21

All statistics reference regular season games only except where noted.

PLAYER STATS

• Denver Summit defender Kaleigh Kurtz has now played 137 consecutive regular season matches and 12,292 consecutive minutes. Both are league records. The streaks began June 26, 2021, while playing for the Courage (the unrounded number is due to a rain-shortened match in 2023).

• No players made their NWSL debuts during Week 21. One of last week’s debutantes, Sanne Lekven, saw her second yellow card in her second match and has been booked twice in 32 minutes of game action for the Pride.

• Ashley Sanchez scored her 19th goal of the season for the Courage to move within one of Temwa Chawinga’s league record of 20, set in 2024. Barbra Banda had a brace for the Pride and sits on 16, closing the gap in the Golden Boot race.

• There was no progress in the 10/10 watch over the weekend. No player has ever scored 10 goals and added 10 assists in the same NWSL season. Cloé Lacasse has seven goals and 10 assists and remains closest to opening the doors to the club. Pietra Tordin is on 7G/9A.  Other contenders are Trinity Rodman on 10G/6A and Emma Sears at 7G/5A.

• Houston midfielder Danielle Colaprico played her 50th straight match since joining the Dash, but her personal streak sits at 58. That is one short of her career-high, and she is working on her third different streak of appearing in at least 50 consecutive matches.

• Juan Carlos Amoros won his 50th NWSL match on Friday night for Gotham. He became the 7th coach to hit the milestone and he shares sixth overall with Seb Hines. The only active coach with more wins is all-time leader Laura Harvey, who now has 124.

TEAM STATS

• Utah defender Kate Del Fava remains minute-perfect for the Royals, having played all 6,840 minutes over 76 games since the team launched in 2024. Those are the longest streaks from the start of any expansion team. The streak nearly ended this week when she hit her head and developed a bloody welt. But she passed concussion tests, got herself bandaged up, and played the full 90 as usual.

• The Chicago Stars have been eliminated from the playoffs after a 1-1 draw over the weekend. It is the fifth time in 13 seasons, and the second year in a row, the Stars will sit out the playoffs. The only other time the Stars missed the playoffs in consecutive seasons was the first two NWSL campaigns, 2013-2014.

• The San Diego Wave won their 50th game on Saturday, 2-1 over the Courage. This is the club’s fifth season, meaning they are already good to average 10 wins over those 5 seasons. They have at least one win against all 15 opponents, including both of this year’s expansion sides. They are 11 wins to the good from expansion sister Angel City, who have 39.

• Kansas City Current defender Izzy Rodriguez has now appeared in a club-record 50 consecutive games for the Current.

• Katie O’Kane also hit 50 consecutive games over the weekend but is less than halfway to the Racing Louisville record of 107 held by Lauren Milliet.

• Chicago goalkeeper Alyssa Naeher’s personal losing streak ended at six when the Stars earned a 1-1 draw in Portland. The six straight losses for Naeher matched her own team record, which first happened overlapping the 2024 and 2025 seasons.

• Jordyn Bloomer’s fourth straight loss established a new Racing Louisville record.
