Napoli have finally completed the sale of Victor Osimhen to Galatasaray for a fee of €75m, with 10 per cent of profit from the sell-on fee going to the Partenopei and a salary reaching €21m per season.
The saga had been dragging on for weeks, with the player determined to remain in Istanbul after a successful loan spell last season.
This saw him turn down far more lucrative proposals from Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal and push Napoli to accept different terms.
He flew in for a medical on Wednesday.
The €75m release clause expired, so this is not activating that, but still paying the full €75m sum.
It is reported this will be spread out between €40m now and a further €35m by the end of the 2025-26 season.
A formal statement from Galatasaray confirms they are paying €75m and that 10 per cent of the profit from a future sale will go to Napoli.
This would appear to be only 10 per cent of the profit and not 10 per cent of the full sell-on fee.
Osimhen has signed a four-year contract that is worth a confirmed €15m per season net salary, plus a loyalty bonus of €1m and an image rights fee of €5m.
Napoli had purchased Osimhen from LOSC for a fee that was calculated to be worth €78.9m including cash and player exchanges.
