Paris Saint-Germain reject $188M offer from Real Madrid for Kylian Mbappe?

With only a week remaining before the summer transfer window closes, it appears Spanish giants Real Madrid might be willing to break the bank to land their man. 

CBS Sports football insider Fabrizio Romano (h/t Roger Gonzalez) reports that Paris Saint-Germain have rejected an offer of $188 million (€160 million) from Los Blancos for Kylian Mbappe. The alleged wantaway forward is in the final season of his contract and, according to multiple reports throughout the summer, is not close to signing an extension with his current employer amid rumors he wants to join Real Madrid before the transfer deadline arrives next Tuesday. 

Lionel Messi signed with PSG as a free agent earlier this month to join an attack that already featured Mbappe and Neymar, but it's understandable the Parisians might want to avoid losing Mbappe for nothing next year if the 22-year-old is serious about relocating to Madrid when his deal expires.

On Monday, Mbappe was linked with an unnamed English Premier League club in a story posted by RMC Sport.

Interestingly, it was previously reported PSG could pursue Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo if they sell Mbappe at some point this week. It's also believed Manchester City could reach out to Juve about CR7 if the reigning Premier League champions cannot convince Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy to sell striker Harry Kane before the end of the month.
