It is a loan with option to buy for a reported fee of circa €15m, but the Ligue 1 side will cover his entire salary during the season.

Inter paid €31.4m to purchase Pavard from Bayern Munich in the summer of 2023 and made 70 competitive appearances for the club, also scoring one goal and providing four assists.

His replacement at San Siro is Akanji, who also made the move on loan with an option to buy.

Inter are paying €1m to Manchester City for the one-season loan, with the option worth a further €15m.

Sky Sport Italia report this can become an obligation only if Inter win the Scudetto.
