Italian reports confirm Tottenham Hotspur interest in Niccolò Pisilli, but deny there has been an offer to Roma, let alone an agreement.

There had been suggestions in the British press over the last few days that Spurs sent scouts to view Pisilli at the European Under-21 Championship and had even negotiated an initial deal with the player.

Pisilli committed to Roma

La Gazzetta dello Sport contacted his entourage and they did not deny there was interest from the Premier League side, who are fresh from winning the Europa League.

However, they insisted there was no agreement or even an offer in place.

Pisilli’s agent also assured the desire was to remain at Roma and continue to grow under new coach Gian Piero Gasperini.

The 20-year-old is a lifelong fan of the Giallorossi who made his way up through the youth academy to the senior squad.

He made 41 appearances in all competition this season, also scoring three goals and providing one assist.

His contract at the Stadio Olimpico runs to June 2029.
