It’s that stage of the season where clubs across the football pyramid are beginning to confirm which players will stay and which will leave ahead of the summer transfer window.

Manchester United are preparing for a summer rebuild.

This comes after Casemiro confirmed that he will leave the club at the end of the season.

Several former United players are also continuing to see their futures resolved elsewhere.

Recently, Fleetwood Town also confirmed that Ethan Ennis would return to Old Trafford following the conclusion of his loan spell.

Now, another club has officially confirmed the departure of two former Manchester United players.

Preston North End announced on their official club website that a pair of experienced former United academy graduates will leave the club following the expiry of their contracts this summer.

The two players in question are Robbie Brady and Will Keane.

Brady departs Deepdale after making more than 100 appearances for Preston following his arrival from AFC Bournemouth back in 2022.

The Republic of Ireland international ended his spell at the club with 105 appearances.

He famously scored a free-kick against Burnley during Preston’s F Cup run to the quarter-finals in the 2024/25 campaign.

The 34-year-old originally came through United’s academy system.

Although opportunities at senior level were limited, Brady enjoyed strong spells with Hull City, Norwich City and Burnley.

Meanwhile, Keane’s second spell at Preston has also now officially come to an end.

The 33-year-old spent the second half of the 2025/26 season on loan at Reading.

He now leaves the club after scoring 18 goals across 73 appearances for them.

Keane joined Manchester United’s academy at the age of 11.

He was once regarded as one of the brightest attacking talents in the club’s youth setup.

He won the Jimmy Murphy Young Player of the Year award during his time at Old Trafford and made his senior debut for the Red Devils back in 2011 under Sir Alex Ferguson.

Preston also confirmed the departures of several other players, including Jamal Lewis and multiple academy graduates.
