Serie A clubs are on alert after news Roberto De Zerbi excluded Milan target Adrien Rabiot and Jonathan Rowe, linked with Roma, Atalanta and Bologna, from the Olympique Marseille squad.
The pair reportedly got into an altercation in the locker room following an opening Ligue 1 defeat, an attitude that infuriated the Italian coach.
The situation does not look like it can be resolved, because both were absent from training today and it was reported they have been told to find themselves another club.
When it comes to former Juventus midfielder Rabiot, this is confirmed by his mother Veronique, who told RTL and L’Equipe that De Zerbi no longer wants the France international in Marseille due to a ‘lack of emotional investment’ in the cause.
Rabiot has been linked with a potential return to Serie A for Milan, where he would reunite with his old coach Max Allegri, but it would be tricky with Luka Modric, Samuele Ricci and Ardon Jashari already purchased this summer.
As for Rowe, he has a host of Serie A sides interested , including Roma, Atalanta and Bologna.
The Giallorossi see him as an alternative to Jadon Sancho and one on considerably lower wages than the Manchester United man.
