Man City is ninth on 10 points and has a record of three wins, one draw, and one loss after five matches played.

In their previous Champions League match, Real Madrid defeated Olympiacos 4-3 away from home. Over the weekend, Real Madrid lost 2-0 to Celta Vigo in La Liga at the Santiago Bernabeu.

In their previous Champions League match, Manchester City lost 2-0 to Bayer Leverkusen at the Etihad Stadium. Over the weekend, Man City defeated Sunderland 3-0 in the Premier League with goals from Ruben Dias, Josko Gvardiol, and Phil Foden.

The last time Real Madrid and Man City played each other was in the Champions League Round of 16 playoffs, where Real Madrid beat Man City 3-1, with a hat trick from Kylian Mbappe.
