Al-Hilal are still not giving up on reuniting Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni and midfielder Nicolo Barella with Simone Inzaghi.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInter1908.
Al-Hilal pulled off a massive coup by snapping up Inter coach Simone Inzaghi.
There is little doubt that the 49-year-old is the highest-profile coaching appointment that a team in the Saudi Pro League have ever made.
However, La Repubblica report, Al-Hilal don’t want to stop there.
The newspaper anticipate that the Saudi club want to make a player signing from Inter that is just as significant.
According to La Repubblica, Al-Hilal want to sign two of Inter’s biggest name players.
The newspaper anticipate that 26-year-old defender Alessandro Bastoni and 28-year-old midfielder Nicolo Barella are major targets for the Saudi Pro League club.
Bastoni and Barella have both been among the most important players in the Inter starting eleven under Inzaghi. As they had been under Antonio Conte.
The two Italian internationals have won the Serie A title twice with Inter. They have also started in two Champions League finals.
And according to La Repubblica, Al-Hilal want both for Inzaghi.
