Midfielder Petar Sucic is set to make his full Serie A debut for Inter Milan in their league opener against Torino.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They report that the Croatian international will start in holding midfield.
Inter Milan are just a few weeks away from the start of their Serie A season.
The Nerazzurri kick off their campaign against Torino on Monday. They host the Granata at the San Siro in their first match of the season.
This will be the first Serie A match in charge of Inter for new coach Cristian Chivu< /a>. Meanwhile, some new faces who have arrived during the summer transfer window will also have a chance to make their debuts.
And according to the Gazzetta dello Sport, there is one player who will go straight into the Inter starting eleven.
Inter signed midfielder Petar Sucic from Dinamo Zagreb this summer.
The 21-year-old has already gotten some opportunities for the Nerazzurri at the Club World Cup.
According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, though, Sucic will start against Torino in his first ever Serie A match as an Inter player.
Hakan Calhanoglu will miss Monday’s match. The 31-year-old is serving a one-match suspension due to an accumulation of yellow cards.
Therefore, the Gazzetta report, it will fall to Sucic to start at the base of Inter’s midfield.
