Reports in Italy claim that Crystal Palace could be poised to make a move for Juventus defender Lloyd Kelly in the event that captain Marc Guehi leaves the club to join Liverpool before the end of the summer transfer window.
According to reports from Corriere dello Sport and Calciomercato.com, Kelly is attracting interest from the Premier League, particularly from Crystal Palace, who remain at risk of losing England intern ational and club captain Guehi to reigning champions Liverpool.
If Guehi ends up joining Giovanni Leoni at Anfield, Palace will be left in need of a replacement, and could find an affordable option in the former Newcastle United defender.
Kelly joined Newcastle for a fee of €17.5m plus bonuses for a potential fee of €20m during the January transfer window, and though he played a key role in pre-season under Igor Tudor, the Bianconeri will reportedly listen to suitable offers should they come in.
It is estimated that a fee in the same region as what Juventus spent to sign Kelly from Newcastle less than a year ago could be enough to sort a deal this summer.
